Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
Dr. Patty's theoretical approaches include a blend of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. She sees clients for a variety of mental health issues, but specializes in anxiety, stress, conflict & anger management, mood disorders, college adjustment, workplace and employee assistance, relationship & communication challenges, work/life balance, and personal growth & development.
CBT-I is the gold standard for the
treatment of insomnia. Over the course
of 6-8 sessions, you will work
collaboratively with Dr. Patty to
implement all or some of the following
key components:
Restructuring of thoughts that impact
your sleep.
Journal sleep patterns, daily activities,
and your impressions of sleep that will assist you in developing a sleep schedule
for improved sleep efficiency.
Learn practices that promote relaxation
& calm your mind.
Develop behavioral practices that will reinforce the association between your
bed, bedroom, & sleep.
Improve your sleep environment and
pre-sleep routines to enhance the
conditions for falling & staying asleep.
Forms of payment accepted for all services: BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, CBHA, private pay. Unfortunately, Medicare and Medicare supplemental plans are not accepted.
